Las Cruces is located close to the Texas and Mexico borders. It is not uncommon for folks in Las Cruces to go have lunch in Juarez, Mexico.

Las Cruces is part of the wild wild west! Local history is full of gunslingers and lawmen. The outlaw Billy the Kid was a local gunman shot and killed by the local Sheriff Pat Garrett, whose grave in the local cemetery is worth a visit.

The local area includes the White Sands National Monument, the Hamilton Air Force Base, White sands missile testing range, Carlsbad Caverns, the quaint town of Cloudcroft, the border towns of Santa Teresa in New Mexico and El Paso in Texas (a half hours drive from Las Cruces). The Rio Grande is just 10 minutes away.

If you are flying in to El Paso, Texas(the closest International airport), Las Cruces shuttle service (located in our Hotel) can pick you up and drop you off.
